Fish Sammies for Boy’s Day and a Lion Sammy too!

Happy Boy’s Day!  Since today is Boy’s Day I thought it would be appropriate to have a few fish (aka carp) for Sean’s lunch today.  To make the fish, all I did was make a sandwich using an oat bran hamburger bun and cut it in half.  The fish are decorated with mozzarella and American cheese, olives for the eyes, and carrots for the tails.  I also filled up the box with strawberries and a homegrown cherry tomato.

Rwaaaarrrr!!!  Here’s another sandwich that I made using a hamburger bun.  The lion’s mane is made from carrots, and it’s face is made from cheese, olives, and carrots for his cheeks.

Finally, I have had a few people ask me what kind of cutters do I use to cut sandwich bread, like in my previous Bear Sandwich post.  I use metal cutters because I find that they cut cleanly and with little effort.  I love to buy the cutters in sets like this, because it can cut your bread to fit any sized bento box.  The only negative thing is that you need to wash and dry them well so that they don’t rust.
