Fun Finger Sandwiches Bento #102

Here is a bento that you can eat with your hands!   Mini finger sandwiches made with deli meat, were decorated with cheddar and mozzarella cheese butterflies and flowers.  I also dressed up the mini sandwiches with cute picks and sugar eyes for the butterflies.  Along side the bite-sized sandwiches were pretzels, strawberries, and a small side container of mayo.

To see more fun finger foods and bite-sized lessons check out Kawaii Bento Club’s Bento Summer School, week 2.

These are the cutters and picks that I used for today’s bento.

  1. What cutiepies! I think I’m gonna have to make a mini ‘wich bento to get back. So tired I can’t even think straight, but I think I can manage a sandwich! Maybe.

  2. I love the little picks! They work perfect for the cute bugs! You are so clever!

  12. Hi Susan, at first, i’ve seen this cute creation in bento summer school. it makes me interested to join along. However, tell me, we are supposed to create something by ourselves? not only for sandwiches, correct? any finger food will do?

thanks for sharing…It is so lovely…

    • I believe that you can create something yourself or you can just try to duplicate something that has already been done. But yes, any finger foods or bite sized foods are the theme this week. :)

  13. So cute!!! Love those butterflies!!!

  14. I love this bento! I saw it last week on flickr. I already used your idea with the cheese flowers! Thanks!

  16. Susan I love your little butterflies. I’m just curious, did you get the cutter from an easter set? I just bought one similar. I also wanted to say just how much I am enjoying your book. I’m thankful to have an English bento book to learn from. I hope you will make more!!!
