Roasted Chicken, Farfalle with Pesto, & Caesar Salad #62

Paige’s lunch today includes roasted chicken seasoned with smoked salt, pepper and garlic, colorful farfalle with pesto, and a Caesar salad with heart shaped garlic croutons.  I had a few slices of bread that were a bit stale, so I cut them with a heart shaped cutter, tossed them in garlic butter, and toasted them in the oven until they became golden and crisp.

  15. Yum! Your roasted chicken always looks so nice and mouthwatering. Lovely heart shapes croutons. Colorful pasta, perfect for bento … brilliant Susan!

  16. I love the croutons – I do salads but never thought of including croutons . Do they keep their crispiness?

And great score on the farfalle pasta…so pretty!

    • Thanks mils! :D I actually put the croutons on only for the picture. I put them (along with a few more) in a little bag, so that Paige could put them on at lunch. You’re right, if I were to leave them on they would not be crisp at all. :)

Is this a stackable bento? Wondering if the food got “smushed”, but it looks yummy!
