Yesterday I got a cool bento tool from a fellow bento enthusiast that just made my day! My first thought was of course- “I can make tigers out of this! Yipee!”. I made PBJ sandwiches today and with the help of my nifty cutter, I made all these wonderful tigers and a sweet heart too. I used chocolate sprinkles for the stripes and really big sugar eyes that I attached with a little bit of icing. After arranging them in the bento box, I thought that they really did look like cats of prey- crouching and getting ready to pounce to their next meal.
Isn’t it a beauty!

I love the googly eyes they are too cute. I’m a big fan of PB & J. Works for me.
Thanks Marisa!
The kids love the sugar eyes, they get an added treat when I use them.
Woh, those pbjs with chocolate sprinkles are the best kind of mini sandies! They cut out so well too! They look like they’re ready to dive into the goldfish pond
Cute felt coaster too
Thanks sherimiya!
The sandwiches should almost be dessert instead of lunch. I am so lovin’ the cutter and the coasters. It was like Christmas yesterday! ;D
I love the chocolate stripes! Any kid would love to have this bento.
Thanks shoppingmum!
cute cutter, like your ‘crouching tigers’ !! sprinkles are always popular with small and ‘bigger’ kids
Thanks javapot!
love the big eyes and the choco sprinkles for stripes – you are so creative, and this is a sweet (literally!) alternative to nori stripes!!
Thanks gamene!
I couldn’t figure out what to use, and then the chocolate sprinkles appeared!
Those are so cute! I love the new cutter, I keep seeing similar ones popping up I may have to try to give in and get one. The tigers certainly look ready to pounce!
Thanks Jenn!
Those cutters sure do come in handy and are a lot of fun.

This is cool Susan! Really is crouching tiger hidden dragon … the dragon is hiding somewhere right? LOL
Love the big eyes and the chocolate sprinkles stripes. How do you come with such a cute idea?
LOL, thanks Lia!
Hi…
May i know how do u stick the chocolate strips onto the bread? Use butter? The strips looks big. The tigers looked v cute with the eyes.
Thanks Joyce!
I have a small tube of icing and I just put a tiny bit on. But that’s a good idea about the butter, I’m sure that will work.
I just got the mold from my SIL, but never thot of using it for tiger/tigeress, u r so creative, Susan!
Wishing u & ur family a happy Chinese New Year & happy Valentine’s Day!
Thanks Kel!
