Paige is going on a field trip today so I packed her lunch in a disposable container. This one happens to be a cupcake box by Wilton, which is the perfect size for a bento. Assembled it measures 3 X 4.5 X 4.5 and is a little deeper than a traditional bento box, which makes it easy to stand two standard sized musubis side by side and still have lots of room to fill it with chicken katsu bites, mini veggie mandoo, grapes, and a little container of ketchup. The boxes come in different sizes and this particular one comes in a set of three for $4.50 at the Ward Warehouse Executive Chef.
So here’s something random and weird for you all. Last night we met up with my brother in-law for dinner at Macaroni grill, which was great by the way. When we got back home and headed on in to our house, a small tree frog decided to commit suicide by jumping in between my foot and slipper as I was in mid stride. I totally flattened him and he was stuck to the bottom of my foot. I can’t tell you how gross it was and how many times I washed my foot and slipper off, not to mention sanitize it with antibacterial wipes. What’s the chances of that happening?

That smashed, squishy frog on your foot was probably the most hilarious thing Paige and I have ever seen! Awesome, that’s worth another try!!
Thanks I’m glad that you all had a good laugh.
Super cute bento in cupcake box… great disposable idea. I think my boy would smush it to bits, knowing him
Thanks sherimiya!

Thanks javapot!
I think I’ll stick one in Mark’s shoe before he goes to work tomorrow.
while i was still enjoying yr beautifully packed bento for paige…..i can’t help but to laugh off over the frog incident…..at d sametime feeling so so gross. boy i think i would hv nightmare thinking how poor the frog had to succumb udr my weight, hahaha
LOL, I still can’t believe how perfect the timing had to be for that frog to jump into my slipper. He was squashed so badly that he was actually stuck to the bottom of my foot until I scraped him off. *shudder*
Susan, I have passed the award for you. Please pick it up on my blog and don’t forget to post 7 random things about yourself and nominate another 7 bloggers
) Have a great weekend!
Thanks for the award Lia!
frogger accident = yuck! can’t believe you had to go through that. love the bento box… so cute.
Thanks Lori!
What a great idea for birthday, picnics and outings. You might just have to do a memorial bento for the frog, yuck!
Thanks golonghorns!
LOL, maybe you’re right I should do a frog bento next!
YooHoo… A lovely new home! Haha a poor little frog Susan. He might be frustrated for he wanted a fun heavy rain in Hawaii but he didn’t have it. He should have been here in Indonesia, sure he would be very happy here since we have our rainy season now LOL. If he were still alive and were here in Indonesia, he could sing for me on a little fish pond in my boardinghouse in the dark blind morning entertaining me when I’m studying hehehehehe. Oh… he should have been very happy here sob sob. Ehm… btw, Paige’s field trip must be very fun too for she accompanied by such lovely bento
. And happy belated birthday for your dear son Sean…
Thanks Tatabonita and Sean thanks you too for the birthday wish!
Hope your studies are going well.
