Witch Sandwich for a Halloween Bento

As a kid, I envisioned all bad witches to look like either Witch Hazel (from Bugs Bunny) or like the wicked witch from the Wizard of Oz. My favorite of course was Witch Hazel because I loved watching Bugs Bunny cartoons. Check out this clip of Witch Hazel, the Romeo and Juliet parody still makes me laugh to this day. I just love her cackle!

My sister requested a witch themed bento and I had a difficult time coming up with something cute. Instead I chose to do a witch cut out from nori against a mozzarella cheese moon, which in retrospect is probably something for older kids. It’s definitely not cutesy enough for Paige and Sean, but I thought it would be something different than the stuff that I’ve been doing lately. Hope you enjoy it. :)

    I like that cat! It's cute. :)
I haven't tried the nori and cheese decor too as my kids are not too fond of it yet.

You must have so much patience to do all the cut outs! Fabulous :0)

So did you cut the witch my hand? It's fantastic. Not "custie" but very cute – somehow not scary at all with the little Kitty. I just picked up the same Halloween picks at Michaels yesterday. I love the chenille stem accents.

Thanks shoppingmum, arkonite babe, Karina! :) I did do the witch cutout by hand. I printed out the witch and traced it on waxed paper. Then placed a nori sheet under the waxed paper and cut the witch out. It wasn't difficult at all, you just need a really sharp pair of small craft scissors. :)

Very cute! Love how you cut out that witch. Keep 'em Halloween bentos coming. Maybe I'll get inspired soon, but probably after the mooncake festival. :)
